Ms. Pia was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. She arrived in the USA in 2003, in search of  better opportunities and new experiences.

She studied a technician in preschool education at Fermin Toro University in Venezuela.

She worked 12 years in a Spanish immersion school. Throughout the years she has worked with different ages, being a lead teacher for the last 3 years on a toddler classroom.

The first time she heard about Montessori was a few years ago, when a friend talked to her about the Montessori philosophy. She felt a deep interest in verifying for herself the philosophy of the school.

She chose to work at Milton Montessori because she was told by a friend already working at MMS that it is a good and nice environment. She also lives very close to Milton Montessori.

What Ms. Pia likes the most about working with children is the connection that is created. The best part for her is to be able to witness their progress and growth. She finds that, more than a pedagogy, Montessori is a whole philosophy of life.

She lives in Alpharetta, GA, with her husband and her daughter Valeria. In her free time, she loves to play sports and bake cakes.
