Ms. Sonia Murcia is originally from Colombia and moved to the United States over 20 years ago. She lived in Florida for 18 years, later moving to Georgia where her daughter resides. Sonia is mom to four beautiful girls and a boy. She also helped raise her three grandsons. Her first job was as nanny to a 7 month old baby girl. Ever since that experience, she knew she wanted to be around children. She pursued a career in Child Care that led to attain her certification from Miami-Dade College in Florida. Sonia feels blessed to be working with children. The genuine love of children and their desire to learn is her greatest inspiration. She feels accomplished when she is able to guide them discovering their potential. She also loves how everyone has become like her family at Milton Montessori.
