A teacher with deep understanding of the Montessori method, Ms. Rebecca was born in Atlanta, GA and lives with her family in South Fulton area. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors degree in Political Science. She started her career as a Legal Assistant. She discovered the Montessori method when her daughters Taylor & Ellie began attending Duluth Montessori School. The more she knew about the Montessori curriculum, more passionate she became about this unique yet effective approach to education. She decided to change her career and went on to get certified for Primary Level Montessori program – but the best was yet to come. She had the amazing opportunity to move to Bergamo, Italy and receive AMI Elementary training by Mario Montessori (son of the legendary Dr. Maria Montessori). Upon returning from Italy, she taught at The Duluth Montessori School for several years followed by Garden of Discovery Montessori School in Grayson, GA for close to a decade. She developed the curriculum for our Elementary program along with Ms. Carol Ann and guides of a delightful group of elementary students. When she is not telling great stories, she is helping children tend to the vegetable and flower garden, building a volcano, observing her students sort out who irons and who vacuums on any specific morning. Ms. Nichols loves animals and has a number of pets like cats, dogs, chickens. Her hobbies include reading, crocheting and cooking.
